We are inviting everyone to view Jaime Zobel's latest exhibit entitled Surfaces, which will run until December 14 in Artspace, 3F Glorietta 4, Ayala Center.
Artist's statement
In Surfaces, I inquire into the nature of texture to produce fusions of the old and the new --these photographs focus on architectural and decorative art details, mostly from the past centuries and taken during my recent trip to Europe. These images are combined with contemporary backgrounds to form juxtapositions and oppositions that are meant to reveal the essence of my interpretations and understanding of appearances and exteriors.
