CHRISTMAS is upon us, bringing families and even long lost friends together.
In this spirit, the Movie Workers Welfare Foundation, Inc., [MOWELFUND], a duly registered non-stock, non-profit social welfare, educational and industry development foundation will hold a Grand Alumni Homecoming of the MOWELFUND FILM INSTITUTE [MFI] its education arm.
MFI was established in 1979 to raise consciousness among filmmakers and their audience towards a better film culture in the country. MFI has since produced some 1000 graduates, several of whom, have made a name for themselves and have brought honor and prestige to the country.
The homecoming, tagged the “DECEMBEER FEST” is a joint Mowelfund – San Miguel Corporation [SMC] project. It will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at the Mowelfund Plaza at 05:30 p.m. Its highlights include:
1. Grand Alumni Homecoming of all MFI Graduates from 1979 – 2008 with program and fellowship.
2. Graduation Ceremony of the Film Specialization Workshop featuring three (3) Student Short Films in 35 mm.
We will appreciate a token donation of Two Hundred (Php200.00) Pesos for the event. This will cover two (2) bottles of San Miguel beer, juice and one (1) bar chow. It will help offset operational expenses for the event and for MFI “in general.” Please submit your donation at the reception table.
