Defend OSR Fair
In line with the International Day of Human Rights, and the students being the largest sector in the University, the UNA Cultural Alliance supports students' rights and the significant role of student institutions in protecting the interests, rights and welfare of the students. The representation of said rights in the Board of Regents, the highest policy-making body in the University of the Philippines, has been continually upheld by the Office of the Student Regent. This representation is now under threat by recent changes in the UP Charter.
Alongside the various campaigns by concerned students groups, the response of cultural practitioners in the University should be considered as a vital show of support to the OSR. This in mind, the UNA Alliance joins all organizations and institutions in campaigning for the continued and significant service of the OSR.
On December 12, 2008, there are various events staged in TBI locations throughout the Diliman Campus. We encourage your involvement in said events. The day will culminate in a concert titled "DEFEND THE OSR".
Subsequent changes will be announced soon.
"Defend the OSR Concert" is an event arranged by the Office of the Student Regent, the Katipunan ng mga Sangguniang Mag-aaral sa UP (Kasama sa UP) and the Ugnayan ng Nagkakaisang (UNA Cultural Alliance).
